Volunteer drivers are wanted for all communities within Penobscot and Piscataquis Counties. If you have some time to give and enjoy driving and meeting people, this might be just the thing for you. All volunteers are reimbursed for the use of their vehicle. You would be asked to transport individuals to medical and social service appointments as much or as little as you like. Our volunteers drive daily, once or twice a week -- all ages or restricted ages. You tell us what and how much you are willing to do.

We ask that you complete a Department of Health and Human Services background check, Department of Motor Vehicle check (have safe driving history), and State Bureau of Identification check (no criminal history). You must be able to complete a 4-hour orientation program, defensive driving, and 8-hour children's transportation training.
