Child Development Nutrition Service

Nutrition service broadens children's experiences with food through nutritious meals, snacks, and nutrition education activities. We participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Nutrition education is provided to children, parents and staff involved in our child care services.

Children are screened for nutrition-related concerns, including but not limited to: underweight, overweight, iron deficiency anemia, chewing/swallowing problems and food allergies/sensitivities.

Nutrition care plans are developed by the nutritionist and registered dietitian, then implemented by center staff.

For more information, call 973-3503 or toll-free 1-800-215-4942.

Penquis Child Development does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, handicapping condition or religion.
