A Family Development Account helps you save the money you need to clear those first financial hurdles. It can set you and your family on the road to your dreams. Here's how to see if the FDA program is right for you:

1. Make a Call! Call 207-973-3645 for the eligibility guidelines. You will learn the details of Maine's FDA program and what services are offered. If you qualify, you'll be invited to apply.

2. Start Saving! Choose your savings goal and decide how much you can save each month. Every dollar you deposit in your FDA is matched with two dollars from public and private investors.

3. Attend Free Classes! While you are saving, we'll give you guidance on how to save and manage your money effectively, how to build good credit, and how to reach your goal. Personal advisors may also be available for one-on-one financial advice when you need it.

If you can save between $20 and $80 per month, you can multiply your savings with a Family Development Account.
