Commodity Food Distribution



Commodity Food Distribution distributes USDA/Maine Department of Agriculture commodities (food) to food cupboards and food banks throughout Penobscot, Piscataquis and Knox Counties. Families who meet income guidelines; those who are in need; those who receive AFDC, Low Cost Prescription Refill Program, Food Stamps, Medicaid, SSI or HEAP are eligible to receive food through nonprofit volunteer groups.
