Project Coordinator - Client Services

Rape Response Services, a subsidiary of Penquis, with offices in Bangor and Dover-Foxcroft, seeks a dynamic individual to work as a 32 hour per week/benefits eligible Project Coordinator – Client Services based in Dover-Foxcroft with travel required throughout Piscataquis and northern Penobscot counties. The successful candidate will provide direct services to those affected by sexual violence and stalking with a focus on providing extensive outreach and support to victims/survivors of sexual violence who live in rural areas. Outreach efforts will include building and maintaining relationships with other service providers and systems to create community specific referral networks. This position will work closely with other, similar advocates throughout the state, and as a member of that team, will work to find both creative and technology based solutions to increase access to services. The successful candidate will also help provide training to professionals, prevention education programs and will represent Rape Response Services at community awareness events.

Must have initiative and ability to work independently; must be willing to work flexible hours; be able to provide reliable, insured transportation; and be able to take required on call shifts, including nights and weekends. As required by business necessity, upon hire and periodically thereafter, must have clean background checks through the State Bureau of Investigation and Maine Department of Human Services. Must not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.

Applicants must have a high school diploma and at least five years of related experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services or a related field and at least one year of specifically related experience are preferred. Also required are a personal philosophy in keeping with the program’s goals and objectives and an understanding of clinical, legal and/or political issues related to sexual assault. Previous public speaking or teaching experience and knowledge of the local service area a plus. Entry level salary range for this position is $14.97 per hour.
