The Penquis Community Partnerships for Protecting Children (CPPC) program is currently seeking a full-time (40 hrs/wk; benefits eligible) Program Manager. Based on a national model, the CPPC model in Maine is a network of people who live, work, and serve in our communities to support families experiencing high levels of stress. CPPC strives to reduce child abuse and neglect by developing tangible and sustainable strategies to strengthen families, neighborhoods and the child welfare system.
The CPPC Program Manager will be in a community leadership role, responsible for promoting the goals and objectives of the program and responsible for organizing and promoting various initiatives in order to develop, enhance and/or improve collaboration and services for children and families. The Program Manager will actively lead in the initial development, growth and on-going sustainability of the CPPC services and will be involved with a large number of community planning groups, new and existing collaborations and organizations, as well as service providers, families, and individuals.
Must have a Bachelorâ€™s degree in social work, human services, child welfare, psychology or related field with three years paid work experience with staff supervision and one year of proven community outreach and coordination experience; or Associates degree in social work, human services, child welfare, psychology or related field with five years paid work experience with staff supervision and one year of proven community outreach and coordination experience. Experience and/or basic knowledge of the Department Child Welfare system is required. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to work flexible hours. Must have computer experience and proficiency and strong written, verbal, and organizational skills. As required by business necessity, upon hire and periodically thereafter, must have clean background checks through the State Bureau of Investigation, Maine Department of Human Services, Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles, National Sex Offender Public website and/or the Federal Bureau of Investigation/Fingerprints.
