This teacher will be responsible for implementing and documenting a developmentally appropriate preschool curriculum for four-year olds, including individualized education plans for children with special needs. The teacher will also develop partnerships with the families of enrolled children. The ideal candidate will be a warm, caring person who is accepting of diversity.
The position requires a Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, and an â€ś081â€ť PreK teaching certificate from Maine Department of Education. As required by business necessity, upon hire and periodically thereafter, must have clean background checks through the State Bureau of Investigation, Maine Department of Human Services, and/or Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles which indicate no previous record of involvement with child abuse and no criminal record or motor vehicle record which would preclude working with children. Must not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.
