Application Support Coordinator

Penquis, a dynamic $46M+ social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis and Knox Counties for 50 years, is seeking a full-time (40 hrs/wk, 52 wks/yr; benefits eligible) Application Support Coordinator to work primarily from the Bangor office.

The successful candidate will manage and maintain several applications that support the network operations of Penquis. Responsibilities include: managing and supporting a large network of mobile devices, to include smartphones and tablets; implementing new software and releases for supported systems; installing, maintaining and supporting computer software and hardware; troubleshooting problems reported by users and providing courteous technical assistance, support, and advice; maintaining Active Directory and updating user data; maintaining hardware and software asset information; implementing Penquis Information Technology policies and procedures; and responding, as needed, to network, server and communication problems. The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours, to include occasional evenings and weekends, as required by system and user needs.

Required qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related area and two years of related work experience, or a High School diploma and four years of relevant training and experience; at least two years of work experience providing technical PC, LAN and Windows administration and support; excellent written and verbal communication skills; and mobile device experience. Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field; demonstrated work experience in Windows Active Directory user management; SQL report writing and application development experience; mobile device management in a large, corporate setting. Must not have an active record on the System for Award Management (SAM) website.
