Provider Compliance Coordinator

Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis and Knox Counties for 50 years, is seeking a full-time (40 hrs/wk; benefits eligible) Provider Compliance Coordinator to work in its Transportation Brokerage office in Bangor. 


This position is responsible for the contract compliance of the Non-Emergency Transportation (NET) Volunteer Program. The successful candidate will audit files, interact with volunteers, and manage a database of provider data. Candidate will also provide assistance to the NET Provider Manager and Volunteer Coordinator as needed.   The successful candidate will organize and maintain records to ensure contract compliance and that all documentation is kept current and client confidentiality is maintained, conduct vehicle inspections, develop and distribute customer surveys, perform audit duties, prepare routine correspondence, perform other related activities, as required, to assure program/department success. Position requires an Associate’s Degree in Business or related field, and at least two years related work experience, or a High School Diploma or equivalent with four years of related work experience. At least three years of work experience in a computerized office setting that includes word processing, spreadsheets, and database management. Excellent written and oral communication skills required, as well as excellent skills in business English and general office practice. Upon hire and thereafter, must have background check results which are satisfactory to Penquis and indicate no previous or current record of involvement with child abuse, neglect or exploitation and no disqualifying criminal record or motor vehicle record as outlined in current contract provisions. Starting pay for this position is $14.99/hour.
