Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis and Knox counties for over 50 years, is currently seeking candidates for a part-time (benefit eligible) BHP to support two clients in the Bradford, Maine. This position is Monday through Friday from 1:00pm to 7:00pm.
As a BHP, you will work one on one with children and youth up to age 20 with developmental disabilities or skill deficits, in both their home and community environments. BHPs assist clients with increasing their communication skills, social skills and daily living skills by implementing specific treatment goals.
The minimum qualifications are, HS Diploma or equivalent, driver’s license in good standing and reliable insured transportation. Must have good communication skills, a desire to make a difference and enjoy working with children and youth up to age 20 and the ability to function independently while performing job responsibilities.
Penquis provides paid training for all required certifications as well as on the job training and support. The starting rate of pay for BHP is $15.55 per hour.
Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.
