Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, is seeking 1 candidate for the following open CRMA position at the Stearns Assisted Living Facility located in Millinocket.

  • Penquis is currently offering a $1,000.00 Hiring Incentive (Contact us to for details)           
  • Full Time benefits eligible position – 37.5 hours – Wednesday evening 3-9 pm, Thursday through Saturday nights 11pm to 9am. 
  • $1.00/hr. shift differential offered for weekend shifts. Shift differential also offered for evening and overnight shifts (rate depends on shift).

 CRMA’s work with residents to help maintain their independence by providing a variety of tasks, including personal care based on individual care plans, medication administration, housekeeping, food service, dining room set up, activities with residents, and laundry.

Requirements include experience providing personal care to the elderly, medication administration and a positive attitude regarding the dignity, privacy, and autonomy of older persons. High School diploma or equivalent and CRMA certification and Personal Support Specialist (PSS) certification required, or for individuals with relevant work experience PSS certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire. Must be comfortable using a computer to document in electronic medical records system, and utilize e-mail and internet.

Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must have background check results that are satisfactory to Penquis and indicate no previous or current record of involvement with child abuse, neglect or exploitation and no disqualifying criminal record or motor vehicle record as outlined in current contract provisions.
