Ways to give:

CIFK makes it possible to select a child and give online; or you can select a child, shop, and drop off the gift at the sponsoring agency. Penquis is a central drop off location for all gifts at 262 Harlow St. Bangor, ME. We will see that any donation gets to each designated site. The search feature allows you to search for a child by town, age, or by sponsoring agency. If you give a general donation, we will select a child that hasn’t been sponsored yet and shop for you.

Did my order go through?

If you do not get a confirmation of your order, once placed, please check your spam, junk or other folders or contact us. It is most likely your order went through it may have been blocked due to security settings. We can send you your confirmation order with the all the details and instructions. The average donation to meet one child’s need or wishes is approximately $100.

Do I need to wrap the gifts?

No, the gift wrapping can get torn in transport. Gift bags are fine. Otherwise we can help families with gift wrapping.

Importance of Child ID Code:

Please include the child ID code when returning the gift. This is very important when returning the gift. If you are unsure of the child’s ID, please reach out to us by email at and we can look it up by your email or name. This helps us ensure that the gift goes to the correct child.

What to expect when dropping off at Penquis:

Drop off is M-F 8:00 am – 4:30 pm at 262 Harlow St., Bangor, ME 04401 Ring a bell and a masked receptionist will greet you in the lobby area. If you’d like to call ahead and would like us to get your package from your trunk, we are happy to do that, please feel free to call to set that up at 973-3558 or email me at If you are giving a cash donation online, we will happily shop for you. If you are ordering a gift and having it shipped to Penquis please include the child’s ID code in the order notes if possible or let us know so we can match the gift to the correct child. Contact

What if you can’t find the gift item?

Please know purchasing a gift card instead of the gift item is totally fine. This year we understand the many challenges to getting out, shopping, and finding items. We have spoken with the families and they are understanding and happy for any help they receive during the holiday season.

We thank you for your support of children throughout our community during the holiday season. CIFK collaborates with a variety of participating agencies. The service providers for these organizations and programs identify families facing significant hardships and then enroll them in the CIFK program.
