Join our Team! Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, is currently seeking a full-time (40 hours/week; benefits eligible) Clinical Director in the Family Enrichment Services (FES) department. As the Clinical Director, you supervise a team of Clinical Therapists and provide counseling for adults, children and families utilizing professional counseling standards. You will provide consultation and support to our Behavioral Health Home and a range of other services.

Location: Bangor, Maine

Clinical Director Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to agency programs and staff, including but not limited to: providing administrative supervision to clinicians, including hiring, training, evaluating and managing performance.
  • Direct clinical services and supports across the agency to include providing clinical consultation, and completing treatment plans and assessments.
  • Assist the compliance team with maintaining all mental or behavioral health program, Mainecare, and licensing standards.
  • Ensure programs maintain appropriate documentation of services to meet any applicable medical records or other records requirements. Ensure programs utilize electronic health records.
  • Review and sign treatment plans and assessments to ensure program compliance with all pertinent Medicaid and licensing regulations.

Clinical Director Requirements:

  • Master’s degree, and must be fully or conditionally licensed LCSW, Psychologist, or Psychiatrist with the State of Maine, and 3-5 years of experience.
  • Ensure a positive collegial atmosphere amongst fellow clinicians and support staff.
  • Must have valid Maine driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation.
  • Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.

The salary range for this position is $ 56,840-85,260 commensurate with experience and qualifications. Those with related education and experience are encouraged to apply.
