On July 7th, 9am- 1-pm we are offering The Front Porch Project training. This is for any concerned community members who wants to learn more about the risk factors and help to prevent child abuse and neglect in their community. This is an online training.

The Front Porch Project® training looks at why people do (and don’t) get involved and provides strategies on how individuals can help support families.  The training…

  • Identifies when and how to get involved in situations involving a child.
  • Increases your comfort level with stepping into those situations.
  • Thinks of possible responses, interventions and problem-solving strategies.
  • Identifies roadblocks to stepping in and find safe ways around them.
  • Reaches out to others in your community to protect children and support families.

By attending this training, you are joining a community of Mainers committed to help prevent future tragedies from occurring to any more of our children. The training is free, available online and available to anyone in the state. For more information on how to get involved….
