Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, is seeking two per diem Registered Nurses to provide coordination and oversight of medication administration programs and health related issues at Penquis Assisted Living Facilities located in Bangor and Camden. 

The successful candidates’ primary focus of the work is to review medication administration records, incident reports, provide oversite of the clinical portion of the Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) training and provide assistance to CRMA staff needing additional support.

Compensation will be paid at $24.00 per hour. Days and hours per week vary at each facility.

Required qualifications include active Registered Nurse License; minimum of one year of experience working directly with older persons in long term care, assisted living residential setting or in home setting; experience administering medications; experience teaching or providing training; excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; proficient computer skills; a valid driver’s license; and reliable, insured transportation. Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must have background check results that are satisfactory to Penquis and indicate no previous or current record of involvement with child abuse, neglect or exploitation and no disqualifying criminal record or motor vehicle record as outlined in current contract provisions.
