Full time – Day Schedule

Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, is seeking a Lead Facilities Technician at our office located in the Bangor, Maine.

This is a fulltime 40 hours position (benefit eligible), reporting to the Facilities and Grounds Director.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to, lite carpentry, electrical & plumbing work as well as snow removal, and lawncare. Successful candidate must be able to lift seventy (70) pounds. This position includes maintenance such as changing light bulbs, changing ceiling tiles, garbage removal, cleaning and moving small equipment and furniture. Other duties include training and managing assigned staff.  Checking to make sure work jobs are completed satisfactorily. Completing orders in work order system. Must be willing to work a day schedule including occasional weekends.

Requirements include having a high school diploma or equivalent; basic reading and writing skills; and computer literacy.  Must have a State of Maine Driver’s license in good standing and facility/maintenance experience. A minimum of two years’ experience with project coordination.

The starting rate of pay for the Lead Facilities Technician range is $16.55 to $21.21 per hour and additional compensation may be given consideration with relevant experience.

Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.
