Administrative and Office Support
Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis and Knox counties for over 50 years, is seeking a full-time (40 hour/week) Office Coordinator at its Bangor, Maine location.
This position is within the Family Enrichment Services Department and will provide traditional secretarial, administrative, and office support in a computer network setting. Our department’s programs focus on strengthening families and individuals of all ages through various contracts, grants and Mainecare billable services.
The ideal candidate will enjoy interacting face-to-face and on the phone with co-workers, clients and providers. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills; be versatile in computer systems and applications such as word processing, electronic health records, databases and spreadsheets; work well in a team environment; and adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
Required qualifications include Associates Degree in secretarial science, business or other related area and two years of related work experience, or High School diploma or equivalent and four years of related work experience. Must have at least three years of work experience in an office setting that includes word processing, spread sheets and database management. Previous experience as an office manager is preferred.
The starting rate of pay for the Office Coordinator position is $16.17 per hour.
Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.
