Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, has an opening for a full-time (40 hours/week; 52 weeks/year; benefits eligible) Program Coordinator opening in Dover Foxcroft, Maine.

Location-Dover Foxcroft, Maine

The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of one residential program supporting six clients and supervising direct care employees.  The Program Coordinator works closely with the Program Manager and client’s team, to ensure clients receive the highest standards of care while meeting regulatory standards and following agency policies.  The program coordinator will perform direct care responsibilities and must be available for on-call duties.

Ideal candidate must have high school diploma or equivalent and preferably one year of experience in the role as a direct care professional or MHRT-1 or experience working with adults with disabilities.  Prior experience supervising and leading a team preferred.  Must have completed or have the ability to complete the following trainings/certifications: MHRT-1 or provisional, CPR/First Aid, Medication Certification (CRMA), MANDT, MHSS and all other required agency trainings.  Ideal candidate will have computer experience, preferably with MS Word, Excel, electronic medical record system, e-mail and internet. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated personal qualities of maturity and discretion. Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality, able to manage multiple tasks in an organized manner with attention to detail and ability to follow through with assigned duties.  Must have insured, reliable transportation to travel to both locations on a regular basis.

The starting rate of pay for the Program Coordinator position is $20.14 per hour and additional compensation may be given consideration with relevant experience.
