The Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations of six residential programs, supporting 20 adults with behavioral health and intellectual disabilities in Penobscot and Piscataquis County.  In addition, this position will provide leadership, guidance and support to three Program Coordinators and over fifty direct care workers. The Program Manager will be responsible for operating each program within budget guidelines and ensures compliance with all contracts, licensing and Maine Care regulation requirements. Must be available to participate in after hours on call rotation.

Must have high school diploma or equivalent, preferably Associate or Bachelor’s degree in health, social work, or related field with a minimum of two years paid work experience, which includes direct service, staff supervision and leadership.  Must have full or conditional MHRT-C certification or eligible for certification.  Must have completed all of the following trainings/certifications or have the ability to complete: direct support professional (DSP) certification, Mental Health Technician Certification (MHRT-1), CPR/First Aid, Medication Certification (CRMA), MANDT and all other required agency trainings.  Computer proficiency and familiarity with MS Word, Excel, electronic medical records system, e-mail and internet. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated personal qualities of maturity and discretion. Must be able to maintain high level of confidentiality and manage multiple tasks in an organized manner with attention to details and follow through with assigned duties. 

Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must have background check results that are satisfactory to Penquis and indicate no previous or current record of involvement with child abuse, neglect or exploitation and no disqualifying criminal record or motor vehicle record as outlined in current contract provisions.  Must have reliable, insured transportation and the ability to work flexible hours based on program needs.
