Oversees the day-to-day operation of Residential Program
Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, has an opening for a full-time (40 hours/week; 52 weeks/year; benefits eligible) Program Coordinator to work in Brewer, Maine.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a residential program currently supporting two clients and supervising direct care employees. The Program Coordinator works closely with the Program Manager and client team, to ensure clients receive the highest standards of care while meeting regulatory standards and following agency policies. The program coordinator will perform direct care responsibilities and must be available for on-call duties.
Ideal candidate must have high school diploma or equivalent and preferably one year of experience in the role as a direct care professional or MHRT-1 or experience working with adults with disabilities. Prior experience supervising and leading a team preferred. Must have completed or have the ability to complete the following trainings/certifications: MHRT-1 or provisional, CDS Certification, CPR/First aid, Medication Certification (CRMA), MANDT and all other required agency trainings. Ideal candidate will have computer experience, preferably with MS Word, Excel, electronic medical record system, e-mail and internet. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated personal qualities of maturity and discretion. Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality, able to manage multiple tasks in an organized manner with attention to detail and ability to follow through with assigned duties. Must have insured, reliable transportation.
The starting rate of pay for the Program Coordinator position is $19.84 per hour and additional compensation may be given consideration with relevant experience.
Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.
