Join our Team! Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, is currently seeking a full time Receptionist (40 hours per week) in our Dover Foxcroft location.  As the Receptionist, you provide office support by greeting and directing clients who call or visit the office, process mail and deliveries, schedule client appointments and perform assigned tasks. As a member of the office support team, you also provide general office support activities throughout the agency.

Location: Dover Foxcroft, Maine

Receptionist Responsibilities:

  • Greet and direct clients, whether on the telephone or in person, and schedule appointments as needed.
  • Answer all incoming telephone calls on a multi-line system giving information, taking messages, and/or referring calls as appropriate. 
  • Provide information and referral services, both on the phone and to walk-in clients.
  • Process outgoing and incoming mail daily.
  • Perform office support tasks as assigned and appropriate.

Receptionist Requirements:

  • High-school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years general work experience.
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills and previous experience managing a multi-line phone system and multiple tasks.
  • Computer proficiency and experience, including Microsoft Office and word processing skills.
  • Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results, as outlined in current contract provisions.

The current rate of pay for this position starts at $16.41 per hour, and additional compensation may be given consideration with relevant experience.
