Do you have the time, space, energy and compassion to make a difference in someone’s life? Share your home and help an adult with a developmental disability to live in a family setting. As a Shared Living Provider, you open your home to support individuals with education, employment, day to day activities, family inclusion, independent living skills, and serve as an important member of the person’s team in identifying and achieving their personal life goals.

Location: Augusta, Maine

Current openings for Shared Living providers in: Kennebec County

Shared Living Providers are independent contractors who earn a competitive “tax free” stipend! The Shared Living Provider will receive a monthly room and board payment from the individual to take care of added expenses.

Penquis offers a highly competitive contract as well as a number of training
opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Successfully pass comprehensive background checks per
    state regulations/policies.
  • Must rent or own your home or apartment.
  • The individual must have their own bedroom.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or Equivalent and a valid Maine driver’s license in good standing and insured reliable transportation.
  • Basic phone and computer skills required.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate proficiently.
  • Current certifications or the ability to obtain, required trainings and certifications to include DSP, CRMA, First Aid/CPR. (training can be provided)
