Job Overview

Penquis is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator in the Charlotte White Support Services department to oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential program in Corinth. This leadership role combines staff supervision, direct care coverage, and responsibility for program safety, documentation, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise direct care professionals, including hiring, training, evaluation, and performance management.
  • Work with the program manager and each client's team to ensure high standards of care.
  • Perform direct care responsibilities and remain available for on-call duties.
  • Keep client charts current within the agency's electronic medical record system.
  • Coordinate staff training and maintain compliance with QA requirements for personnel-related issues.
  • Ensure required reports, fire drills, safety checklists, and weekly progress notes are completed on time.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience supervising and leading a team preferred.
  • Ability to complete required trainings and certifications, including MHRT-1 or provisional, CPR/First Aid, Medication Certification (CRMA), MANDT, MHSS, and other agency trainings.
  • Valid Maine driver's license and insured, reliable transportation.
  • Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, electronic medical records, email, and internet tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to meet Penquis background-check requirements upon hire and periodically thereafter, with satisfactory results as required by current contract provisions.
