Direct Care Professional – Dover-Foxcroft Area

Job Overview

Penquis is seeking Direct Care Professionals in the Dover-Foxcroft area to support individuals in residential and community settings. This role helps clients build independence, maintain meaningful community connections, and work toward personal goals with dependable daily support.

Responsibilities

• Teach living skills according to each client's treatment plan.
• Complete objective documentation using required forms or electronic records.
• Support problem solving and the daily supports needed to meet client goals.
• Maintain cleanliness of the home and help plan, shop for, and prepare balanced meals.
• Transport clients to community locations, events, and appointments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Provisional or MHRT-1 certification and CPR/First Aid certifications preferred; Penquis offers paid training to obtain these certifications.
• Ability to use or learn computer skills needed for agency programs and applications.
• Valid Maine driver's license.
• Ability to meet Penquis background-check requirements upon hire and periodically thereafter, with satisfactory results as required by current contract provisions.
