Our group home staff have access to 24/7 emergency supervisor support as well as company vehicles for transporting individuals into the community. DCPs also have the opportunity to support individuals at exciting events in the community including concerts, local cruises, fairs, and other community gatherings!

Responsibilities

• Teach living skills according to each client's treatment plan.
• Complete objective documentation using required forms or electronic records.
• Support problem solving and the daily supports needed to meet client goals.
• Maintain cleanliness of the home and help plan, shop for, and prepare balanced meals.
• Transport clients to community locations, events, and appointments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Provisional or MHRT-1 certification and CPR/First Aid certifications preferred; Penquis offers paid training to obtain these certifications.
• Ability to use or learn computer skills needed for agency programs and applications.
• Valid Maine driver's license.
• Ability to meet Penquis background-check requirements upon hire and periodically thereafter, with satisfactory results as required by current contract provisions.
