Program & Service

Other Transportation Services

Lynx and general public transportation can support medical trips, errands, work, social visits, and other essential travel in Penobscot and Piscataquis counties.

For those who cannot drive or do not have a reliable vehicle, everyday needs such as going to the doctor, grocery shopping, banking, or visiting friends can be a significant challenge, particularly in rural areas. Penquis Transportation Services can help. We offer transportation for MaineCare-covered trips and transportation for those without MaineCare.

General public transportation is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Penobscot and Piscataquis counties, except Patten.

Penquis Lynx provides a variety of transportation throughout Penobscot and Piscataquis counties. We provide transportation for the general public and have funding sources that allow us to provide transportation at no cost or for a small fee.
