Restorative Justice Program
Restorative Justice helps youth take part in accountability-focused restorative processes intended to reduce recidivism and prevent deeper juvenile justice involvement.
Who we are
The Restorative Justice Program provides opportunities for youth to be involved in a restorative process to reduce recidivism rates and prevent youth from entering the juvenile justice system.
What we do
Restorative justice focuses on those who were harmed, the community that was impacted, and the ways in which the responsible youth can make things right.
Who is eligible
Youth under the age of 18 in Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Somerset counties who have a chargeable offense.
How to contact us
Referrals to the program can be made by Juvenile Community Corrections Officers (JCCOs), school resource officers, school administration, and local law enforcement.
