40% of kids who live in poverty are ill-equipped to enter elementary school. Volunteer with Penquis Child Development Centers to support young children and classroom staff through reading, activities, meal assistance, and other age-appropriate help.
Penquis Child Development Centers welcome volunteers who want to support young children and classroom staff.
Ways volunteers may help
- Reading to children
- Assisting with meal preparation
- Sharing an appropriate skill or talent in a preschool classroom
- Providing additional help with infants and toddlers
- Supporting classroom activities and staff
