Weatherization

Weatherization helps income-eligible households reduce energy costs by improving home efficiency and addressing related safety issues.

The Penquis weatherization program helps low-income homeowners and renters reduce energy costs by improving home energy efficiency. Improvements may include insulation, weather-stripping, caulking, and some safety-related repairs.

To qualify, individuals must be eligible for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) and not have had their home weatherized in the past 15 years. Priority is given to households with adults over 60, children 6 years and younger, and to individuals with disabilities.
