Financial Coaching

Financial Coaching helps people work on goals, credit, budgets, and financial stability.

Financial Coaching helps families increase financial stability and improve child and family outcomes through financial capability and coaching services.

Coaching May Include

  • Financial goal setting and planning.
  • Improving credit.
  • Creating budgets.
  • Exploring whether a Family Development Account may help with approved savings goals, such as starting or expanding a small business or buying a home.

Who Financial Coaching May Serve

  • Parents and guardians of children served through Penquis Child Development and Head Start programs.
  • Families in residential facilities of the Bangor, Brewer, and Old Town housing authorities participating in Family Self Sufficiency programs.
  • Women in recovery with children, or those working toward reunification, through McAuley Residence.
