Open Positions: Full Time, Part Time & Per Diem Offering a flexible work schedule, an excellent benefit package, paid training for all required certifications, on the job training and support.
Direct Care Professional Responsibilities:
- Teaches living skills, per treatment plan.
- Objectively documents on required forms or electronic records.
- Promotes problem solving activities in developing and maintaining support necessary to manage client’s needs.
- Takes responsibility for the overall cleanliness of the home. Plans, shops for, and prepares well-balanced meals as required.
- Transport clients to community locations, events and appointments.
Direct Care Professional Requirements:
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Provisional or MHRT-1 certification CPR-FA certifications preferred – Penquis offers paid training to obtain these certifications.
- Must have or be willing to learn computer skills in order to use agency programs and applications as needed.
- Must have valid Maine driver’s license.
- Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.

The starting rate of pay for the Direct Care Professional position is $17.00 per hour, and additional compensation may be given consideration with relevant experience.
