Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, has an opening for 1 full-time (40 hours per week/ benefits eligible) Client Services Representative in the Bangor Office to fill a 10-month seasonal position in the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
The Client Service Representative works directly with service recipients, performing intake activities, collecting documentation material, providing information and referral, as appropriate, you are involved with processing intake information on behalf of the client. The Client Service Representative will interact with the public in a professional manner; maintain client information in complete confidence; learn and apply federal and state regulations.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and 2 years of work experience in an office setting with client contact responsibility; must have computer proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet programs, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Requires motivation and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced position, with limited supervision. Must have a valid Maine driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation.
The starting rate of pay for this position is $15.55 per hour.
Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must have background check results that are satisfactory to Penquis and indicate no previous or current record of involvement with child abuse, neglect or exploitation and no disqualifying criminal record or motor vehicle record as outlined in current contract provisions.
