Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis and Knox counties for over 50 years, is seeking candidates for the following opening within the Dover-Foxcroft area:
We are currently hiring for a 24 to 40 hours per week, benefits eligible position that combines hours in our Adult Outreach Program with hours in our children’s Rehabilitative and Community Supports Program.

Come work for Penquis where you can help individuals build relationships, achieve their goals, and maintain their independence in their home and community. Support an adult in their home in Dover-Foxcroft on Saturday from 8:30am to 3:30pm, an adult in their home in Dexter for 10 hours a week and provide 4 daily hours of support to a child/youth in their home and community in the Dover-Foxcroft area 3 evenings per week (exact days and hours TBD upon hire).
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma/GED, have an energetic and creative personality, the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and the ability to follow through with assigned duties independently. Must have reliable and insured transportation and the ability to work flexible hours. Weekends and evenings are required. Must have completed, or have the ability to complete upon hire, the following trainings/certifications: Behavioral Health Professional certification, College of Direct Support certification, CRMA, CPR/First aid, MANDT and all other required agency trainings.
Penquis provides paid training for required certifications as well as on the job training and support. Starting pay is $15.25 per hour for DCP & $15.55 per hour for BHP.
Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must have background check results that are satisfactory to Penquis and indicate no previous or current involvement with child abuse, neglect or exploitation and no other disqualifying background as outlined in current contract provisions.
