Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, is currently seeking a part time (27.5 hrs per week) Direct Care Professional in our Community Supports program. As a Direct Care Professional, you will help individuals’ build relationships, assist with skill building in areas such as cooking, communication, safety at home and in the community, activities of daily living, personal care and hygiene. This position is based out of our Dover Foxcroft location.
Location: Dover Foxcroft, Maine
The Community Support Program is designed for adults with intellectual disabilities and offers a wide range of community-based services specifically designed and individualized to meet the needs of participants.
Monday-Friday 9:45am to 3:15pm.
Direct Care Professional Requirements:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to successfully complete required trainings/certifications. Must have or be willing to learn computer skills in order to use agency programs and applications as needed.
- Must have a valid Maine driver’s license.
- Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.

The rate of pay for this position starts at $16.10 per hour, and additional compensation may be given consideration with relevant experience. Those with related education and experience are encouraged to apply.
