Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis and Knox counties for over 50 years, is seeking candidates for a full time (36-40 hour per week) benefits eligible
Direct Support Professional/Behavioral Health Professional. This position will combine hours in our adult community support program and children’s rehabilitative support programs within the Dover-Foxcroft area.
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic person, who likes to have fun and wants to make a difference in the lives of others? This position will provide you the opportunity to work with both adults and children while helping them to develop relationships and achieve their goals.
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma/GED, have an energetic and creative personality, the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and the ability to follow through with assigned duties independently. Must be comfortable using a computer to document in electronic medical records system, use of email and internet. Must have reliable and insured transportation and the ability to work flexible hours. Evenings are required. Must have completed, or have the ability to complete upon hire, the following trainings/certifications: Behavioral Health Professional certification, College of Direct Support certification, CRMA, CPR/First aid, MANDT and all other required agency trainings.
Starting pay is $15.25 per hour; paid training and an excellent benefits package.
Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must have background check results that are satisfactory to Penquis and indicate no previous or current record of involvement with child abuse, neglect or exploitation and no disqualifying criminal record or motor vehicle record as outlined in current contract provisions.
