Transitional Housing Services in Maine
Penquis offers transitional and supportive housing services in Maine to help individuals and families find stability, safety, and self-sufficiency. Below are our core programs designed to assist those facing housing insecurity or transitioning from crisis situations.
McAuley Residence
- Who it serves: Women in recovery with children or those working toward reunification.
- Duration: Up to 2 years, with increasing levels of independence.
- Support: Recovery-focused services and life skills training.

Penquis Host Homes Program (PHH)
- Who it serves: Youth and young adults ages 12–24 in the greater Piscataquis region experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
- Support: Temporary placement in safe, stable homes within the community.
- Goal: Family reunification or development of independent living skills.

Partners for Peace Transitional Services
- Who it serves: Individuals and families affected by domestic violence.
- Services: Transitional housing and support services.

- What it offers: Supportive housing for individuals experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness.
