Penquis, a social services agency serving Penobscot, Piscataquis, and Knox counties for over 50 years, is seeking full-time Vehicle Operators to increase our vehicle fleet and reach.

In this position, you will be responsible for the safe transport of clients in an agency vehicle and ensure their needs are met. The successful candidate will be able to complete training in passenger assistance techniques, child transport, wheelchair lift and tie-down operations, defensive driving and CPR/First Aid. Must have a valid Maine driver’s license with an excellent driving history, be able to pass a pre-employment physical including drug testing, and submit to random drug/alcohol testing.
The rate of pay for this position starts at $17.07 per hour, and additional compensation may be given consideration with relevant experience.
Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must comply with Penquis background check requirements with satisfactory results as outlined in current contract provisions.
