The Safe Havens Supervised Visitation and Exchange Program for Piscataquis County is currently seeking a per diem or part-time (24 hrs/wk; benefits eligible) Visitation Monitor to work in Dover-Foxcroft. The Safe Havens program promotes the safety of domestic violence victims through the supervised visitation and exchange of children with the non-custodial parent. The Visitation Monitor will interact with all members of the family while maintaining the safety of victims of domestic violence by preventing contact between custodial and non-custodial parents during visits and exchanges.
The Visitation Monitor will supervise visits and exchanges, ensure compliance with program policies and procedures, and provide appropriate support to children and their parents.
Must have a high school diploma and training in family dynamics and child development with at least three years related work experience or a bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, child and family development or related field. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to work flexible hours. Weekends are required. Out of state travel to national trainings may be required. Upon hire and periodically thereafter, must have background check results that are satisfactory to Penquis and indicate no previous or current record of involvement with child abuse, neglect or exploitation and no disqualifying criminal record or motor vehicle record as outlined in current contract provisions. Offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package. Entry level salary range for this position is $11.90 per hour.
